To address climate issues and planetary boundaries, the aviation sector needs a strategic vision and requires men and women who are skilled in managing the risks and opportunities associated with these specific challenges.

Two internationally recognized aeronautical schools
ENAC and ISAE-SUPAERO have joined forces to offer this program, which will cover not only the eco-design of low-carbon aircraft, but also the operational and systemic aspects and societal challenges linked with these issues.
The objectives of the programme

- Assess the various environmental impacts (climate, resources, biodiversity) of products and services in the aviation sector in order to identify eco-design levers through life cycle analysis.
- Design technical and organizational solutions to improve the sustainability of a product or service while ensuring air transport safety and reliability requirements.
- Analyze complex situations and devise forward-looking scenarios based on a systemic approach to contribute to sustainable aviation.
- Support the implementation of innovative solutions and influence organizations to ensure their viability, taking into account aeronautical certification requirements and environmental regulations.

Volume of hours: 450 h (380 hours asynchronous, allowing you to study wherever and whenever you want, and 70 hours synchronous, allowing you to interact also with teachers, tutors, and other learners)
The program consists of:
- an online academic part.
- a professional part in France or abroad (professional assignment/thesis in a company).
The online academic part, with a prescribed workload of approximately 450 hours, takes place over 12 months and requires around ten hours of work per week. It is structured into seven teaching units, to which 45 ECTS credits are allocated:

The diploma will be awarded provided that the following conditions are met
- All knowledge is validated (continuous assessment through individual exercises, production and presentation of a summary, etc.).
- All skills are validated (projects and case studies with written reports and synchronous group oral presentations with specific individual questions).
- Validated in-company assignment (assessment by in-company tutor).
- Validated professional thesis (individual written report and individual defense before a jury).

Our Admission Pathways
Candidates can access our programme with the following backgrounds:
- Engineering degree conferring the grade of Master (part of the CTI Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs list),
- Title registered in the Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles (RNCP) level 7,
- 3ᵉ cycle diploma accredited by university authorities (National master’s degree, DEA, DESS or High School Diploma +5 years)
- Diploma or validation certificate of equivalent Master 1 year level for candidates with at least three years’ professional experience related to the course concerned. A certificate of equivalence may be required to guarantee validation of the level,
- A foreign diploma recognized by France at a level equivalent to those mentioned above.
For applicants who do not meet these requirements, special admission may be granted through the following ways:
- Validated Master 1 level or equivalent without professional experience,
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 3 years’ professional experience,
- By VAPP: at least 5 years’ significant professional experience.

To apply for our programme, please submit your application online. The following documents are required:

The professional mission
The Advanced Master programmes all include a thesis/professional assignment, which can be carried out in a company, over a period of 4 to 6 months, as an internship, fixed-term contract, permanent contract or VIE. Students who receive a bonus during their work placement may, at a later date, be able to contribute towards the cost of their studies.

The professional part of the program includes:
- a professional assignment during 4 months at least(maximum 6 months), worth 10 ECTS credits);
- a professional thesis, individual work prepared as part of this work placement, worth 20 ECTS credits.
The work placement in a company, government agency, or research laboratory may take place in France or abroad (assignment supervised by an employment contract or internship supervised by an agreement).
The work placement and professional thesis are consistent with the knowledge and skills required for graduation.
