Air Traffic Regulation: innovative training at ENAC

Air Traffic Regulation innovative training

Air traffic is much more than just aircraft moving through the sky. It encompasses all aircraft in flight and those operating on the ground, on the maneuvering area of an aerodrome (the part used for takeoffs, landings and aircraft movement on the surface, excluding parking areas).

Air Traffic Regulations form an essential foundation for air safety and civil and military traffic management. Introduced in response to the gradual increase in air traffic and the need to prevent collisions, they now provide a rigorous and coordinated framework for airspace use.

To support the pedagogical and digital transformation undertaken as part of the 2021-2025 Objectives and Performance Contract, ENAC has modernized the teaching of this essential subject.

Today, Air Traffic Regulation at ENAC means:

  • Interactive digital modules accessible via e-Campus, ENAC's online teaching platform, dedicated to supporting students in their learning,
  • A variety of formats: Lightboard videos, H5P and  Articulate capsules, serious games,
  • Hybrid learning: distance learning, independent learning or interaction with teachers, APPs, etc.
  • Learning scenarios adapted to the initial training of student air traffic controllers (MCTA, GSEA, Defense promotions, Export promotions) but also to other ENAC training courses (IENAC, ISESA,  IATOM, IATSED, Flight dispatchers, etc.).

The objective? To provide high-quality educational and digital resources, accessible at all times, to better support students in their learning.
