Andreas Guitart, postdoctoral researcher at ENAC, has been nominated as one of the three finalists for the prestigious SESAR Young Scientist Award 2024 in the PhD category.
Having earned his PhD in December 2023 titled “Development of Trajectory Generation Algorithms to Improve Air Transport Safety,” Andreas has already contributed to over 20 studies focused on aircraft emergency trajectory generation, trajectory optimization, tackling issues like rapid response, contrail reduction, and increased safety in air traffic management.
This award celebrates young scientists driving impactful advances in aviation and air traffic management research, while supporting their professional development. The winner will be revealed at the SESAR Innovation Days in Rome, November 11-15, 2024.
