ASEAN : new partnership agreement for executive training development

On the sidelines of the 54th ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Conference of the Asia-Pacific countries, ENAC, Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HK IAA), ADP Group and Hong Kong Airport Authority signed an agreement for the development of training courses for civil aviation directorates executives of the Northern ASEAN countries.

On the sidelines of the 54th ICAO Conference of the Asia-Pacific countries held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, ENAC, Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, ADP Group, Hong Kong Airport Authority, the French Civil Aviation Directorate General and the major Hong Kong airlines (Cathay Pacific, Cathay Dragon, Hong Kong Airlines) have signed a partnership agreement for the establishment of Training in aviation in the North ASEAN area.

The signing of this agreement, which is also part of ICAO's No Country Left Behind (NCLB) support program, took place in the presence of all directors of civil aviation authorities of the following countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam) as well as Ms. Fang Liu, Secretary General of ICAO.

Through this agreement, ADP Group, the French Civil Aviation Directorate General and the Hong Kong Airport Authority undertake to finance ten scholarships for civil aviation directorate of the following northern ASEAN countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam to take a Master's degree in Air Transport Management. This training, which ENAC and HKIAA will issue in Hong Kong as of December 2017, aims at training high level executives of air transport stakeholders such as airlines, airports, civil aviation authorities, airlines Maintenance, etc. Through this training, ENAC and ADP Group, as well as Airbus, sponsor of ENAC’s international training programs development, will also participate in the promotion of French expertise in aeronautics and aviation in this region of the world.

The implementation of this high-level training in air transport management reinforces the positioning of ENAC as the reference school in aeronautics and aviation in the ASEAN zone where ENAC already delivers training in management of air transport Aviation safety in Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.

This agreement is in line with the Groupe ADP strategy of deploying a reinforced sector expertise worldwide and an integrated offer, for a greater proximity with its customers.

This agreement also strengthens the partnership between the ADP Group and ENAC.
