ENAC unveils eStrip — a next-generation digital tool designed to modernize training practices while building on existing systems.

Toward a paperless, seamless, and connected training experience

Born from a collaboration between educational experts and engineers from ENAC’s Air Traffic Management (ATM) department, eStrip digitizes traditional paper flight progress strips. Displayed on a 27-inch 4K UHD touchscreen, the system is smooth, intuitive, and compatible with mouse, stylus, or finger input. It connects directly to ENAC’s existing air traffic control simulators (eTower), ensuring a smooth transition.

A technological layer for enhanced realism

Tower positions, digitalized voice information, real-time interaction — eStrip enriches simulations with optimized information sharing, offering an experience that’s even closer to operational reality.
The goal? Prepare tomorrow’s controllers for the digital environments currently being deployed in French control towers such as Paris-Orly.

A future-ready tool

Developed in partnership with Simulavia, the project was launched in 2022 and is set for delivery in spring 2025 then gradually integrated into our training courses. eStrip reflects ENAC’s commitment to training excellence by anticipating the needs of tomorrow’s skies.
