Biography: Dr Florian Allroggen is a Senior Research Fellow at MIT and Executive Director of its Laboratory for Aviation and the Environment. His work focuses on aviation innovation at the intersection of energy, fuels, and economics, with a particular emphasis on sustainable aviation fuels and emerging energy systems. He develops and applies techno-economic and life-cycle assessment methods, cost-benefit analysis and market modelling to evaluate system-wide impacts and inform decision-making. He is the course leader for MIT’s Air Industry course.
