The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) develops and updates global aviation standards through a structured system of technical panels. These expert groups formulate and review proposals that are subsequently submitted to the Air Navigation Commission and ICAO Member States.

Among them, the ATM Operations Panel (ATMOPSP) plays a key role in addressing operational aspects of air traffic management.

European Regulation 2015/340, governing air traffic controller licences and certificates, will undergo significant changes on January 1st, 2029.

After nearly 30 years of operation, the ELECTRA Enroute ATC simulation system (Ensemble Logiciel pour l’Enseignement du Trafic Aérien) has been permanently decommissioned at ENAC.
