Located near Toulouse, the Muret centre was created in 1968 following ENAC’s move from Paris. It offers training from the basic piloting license to professional pilot qualification. The centre grew rapidly in the late 1980’s with the need for basic training of student pilots for Air France.
At first limited to basic visual flight training, the Muret centre now offers instrument flight training.
It is also involved in advanced training for piloting public transport aircraft.
Activity in Muret has recently increased due to its proximity to the industrial aviation cluster in Toulouse, and the transfer to the city of several DGAC departments in the 1990’s.
